Making profit from your Auto Outlet
Want your outlet to be the top selling one? Follow these handy tips and begin to rake in the moolah.
Plan Your Business
First things first, ask yourself is this the business you intend to pursue, after all the business fortunes are intricately linked to market sentiments like strong or weak demand, auto company fortunes, used car demand and so on. Write a business plan i.e. what the outlet would be for like cars, bikes, trucks etc. How many employees are required, what kind of revenue you would expect after say 3 years.
Starting Out
If you plan to sell only branded vehicles you will need to take a franchisee from the company. Make sure the company is well known and is performing well. Most importantly it has a variety of vehicle models and not just one or two. Also learn about its service network because a potential car owners look for a car which has good after-sales service.
Layout
Make sure you are not constrained for space and your premises can house number of models easily. Also if your outlet is located on intersections or busy roads it always helps. The training you provide to your staff is very important; customers don’t like being treated like dirt. Your sales executives should be smart, conversant, polite and understanding.
Offers
In this business most franchisees are more or less on equal footing so how do you stand apart. A little bit of free candy always helps, offer free test drives, respected customer reviews, company profile, easy financing facilities, need based customization, lean season discounts and so on. Buyers do give importance to these things.
