All New Pontiac G5 – A Badge Engineering

The Pontiac G5 is Pontiac’s entry-level vehicle, that offers solid fuel economy. The 2009 new Pontiac G5 is a sportier sedan two-door coupe comes with several changes, mainly under the hood. This two-door sedan comes with an updated 2.2L inline-four cylinder that gets a power boost to 155 horsepower and 152 pound-feet of torque. It is equipped with a standard five-speed manual transmission — which receives a new 3.63 final drive ratio — and newly added 15-in. wheels with low-rolling-resistance tires, the revised engine allows the base G5 to achieve an improvement in fuel economy to a fairly impressive 25 mpg city/37 mpg highway. The G5 GT has a stiffer suspension with mono tube shocks and thicker anti-roll bars, four-wheel disc brakes (the base G5 has disc brakes up front and drum brakes at the rear), and rugged 17-inch. wheels with hi- performance tires.

Pontiac has also installed in the 2009 G5, with Bluetooth, an iPod-compatible USB port in the radio, dual-stage front airbags, a pair of new exterior colors and a new red and black leather interior color combination for the G5 GT. The G5 comes standard with side-impact curtain airbags as well as dual front-impact airbags. It’s also equipped with seatbelt pretensioners, a three-point seatbelt for the center rear passenger, and GM’s, Onstar communications system. The 2009 Pontiac G5 in its base version from the autooutlet world is decently equipped, and the options list with it will certainly satisfy most of your other wants at extra cost.
