The 2009 1 Series 128i Convertible, is a 2-door, 4-passenger sports luxury convertible, available in 4 trims, ranging from the 128i Coupe to the 135i Convertible. The 1 series 2009 BMW 128i is BMW’s new smaller, lighter, cheaper convertible for entry level buyers. The 128i is the best entry-level luxury vehicle build with balanced performance, which is available in two variants, either a coupe or convertible. The 128i’s 3.0-liter dual overhead cam, inline six-cylinder engine with a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission and steering wheel paddle shifting, generates 230 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque. The 2009 BMW 128i Convertible is also equipped with Valvetronic variable valve lift and aluminum-and-magnesium cylinder-block construction, these added components contribute a lot in the vehicles overall performance.
This rear-drive sports convertible has a choice of four gasoline engines, with outputs ranging from 143 horsepower to 306, as well as a four-cylinder turbo-diesel putting out 177 horsepower. The standard safety features has four air bags on the convertible, anti-lock brakes, adaptive brake lights, stability and traction control and run-flat tires with pressure monitoring. The 128i features the usual BMW creature comforts such as a 10-speaker audio system, auxiliary input jack, power sunroof, automatic climate control, leather wrapped steering wheel and multi-way adjustable front seats.
